How far offshore do we go?+
It depends on the trip: up to 40 miles on the 3/4 day, up to 50 miles on the 8 hour full day and up to 70 miles on the 10 hour full day. Red snapper trips run up to 60 or 80 miles.
What will we catch?+
Grouper and snapper are the main targets on the reefs, along with cobia, blackfin tuna, amberjack, African pompano and mahi mahi on the longer runs. Red snapper season for 2026 runs June 1 through October 26.
Is the trip good for families and first timers?+
Yes. Capt. Mike customizes every trip, whether you're a seasoned angler, a first timer or a family with kids.
Is there a bathroom on the boat?+
Yes. The Dreamgirl, a Grady White 29, has an onboard bathroom and a cabin.
Is gratuity included?+
No. Trip prices do not include gratuity for your captain. The industry standard is 20% for your captain's hard work. Ask if you have any questions about tipping.
